About Phu Quoc Links
Phu Quoc Links is a small editorial project that keeps an annotated list of the websites a visitor to Phu Quoc actually needs. This page explains how links get in, how they are checked and dated, how they are removed, and how to report a mistake.
What the site is for
Searching for practical information about Phu Quoc turns up a mix of official pages, operator sites, agents and copied articles, many still written for the island as a city of Kien Giang. The aim here is narrow: for each need — entry rules, getting there, health, a tour company, an app — point to the source that actually decides or sells the thing, say what is on that page, and say when we read it.
How links are chosen and checked
- Official bodies come first: the special zone, the province, the national park, the airport operator, the port authority, ministries and public hospitals.
- Operators come next for their own services: an airline for its routes, a ferry line for its timetable, a hospital for its departments.
- Press reports are used for a single fact when no official page states it in a form we could read, and they are labelled Press.
- Companies in the directory are listed when their own website shows at least one Phu Quoc trip on the day we check. They are grouped by the kind of trip and listed alphabetically.
An editor opens every link before it is listed and reads the part we describe. The date beside the link is that day. If a page does not load, it is not listed; the exception is a government address too important to leave out, which is kept with a note saying it did not load and on which day. Figures — fares, times, bed counts, areas — are quoted with the source and the date, as references to confirm, and where two sources disagree we say so instead of choosing one.
What this site does not do
We do not sell tours, tickets or rooms, take bookings or deposits, or pass your details to any company. We do not take payment for listings or for the order in which companies appear, and the links on this site carry no referral codes. We do not publish reviews or ratings of companies, guides or venues.
We do not give individual visa, medical or legal advice. Where a question needs an authority's answer, the page names the authority. Being listed does not mean any of the organisations or companies on this site has reviewed or approved what we write.
How links are removed
A link comes off the site when it stops loading on two checks, when the page no longer holds what we describe, when a company's site no longer shows a Phu Quoc trip, or when an official body moves its content to a new address — in which case the new address replaces it. Companies can ask to be removed through the form, and we remove them.
Corrections
If something on a page is wrong or out of date — a link that no longer works, a figure that has changed, a name that is spelled wrongly — tell us through the form at the foot of any page. Please include the page you were reading, what you saw, and, if you have it, the official source that shows the correct information.
An editor checks the source before changing anything. When a correction changes a fact rather than a typing error, the check date of that section is updated with it. We do not remove a fact only because a company would prefer it gone; we remove it when a source shows it is no longer true.
Sources and dates
Every section that quotes a time, a fare, a rule or a number carries a line giving its sources and the date they were checked. Most links on this site were last opened on 12 October 2026. Government addresses in Vietnam have been changing since the 2025 reorganisation, and operators change their websites without notice, so a date older than a few months is a reason to check again.
Common questions
Questions readers send
Who writes Phu Quoc Links?
The Phu Quoc Links editors, who open each link and note the date. The site does not sell travel services and does not publish reviews.
How do I report a broken link?
Use the form at the foot of any page. Tell us the page, the link and what you saw. An editor will open it again and correct or remove it.
Can a company ask to be removed?
Yes. Write through the form from an address that matches the company's website, and the listing is removed.
